Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Engineering Technology/Illinois Aligned Basic Welding Certificate, the graduate will be able to:

  1. Adhere to welding safety procedures.
  2. Perform welding and fabrication measurements.
  3. Interpret drawings and blueprints.
  4. Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding in flat and horizontal positions.
  5. Perform Gas Metal Arc Welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
  6. Perform Gas Tungsten Arc Welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
  7. Perform Flux Core Arc Welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical position.
