Center for Access and Accommodative Services (CAAS)

The Center for Access and Accommodative Services (CAAS) provides academic accommodations and accessibility services for students who have a medical concern and/or disability. Students requesting accommodations and/or services such as sign language interpreters, testing accommodations, note taking assistance, adaptive equipment or other accommodative services must submit a request three weeks before the first day of class. Requests are made by filling out a Confidential Data form found on the department website or Room A-105 and submitted with documentation of the medical condition and/or disability. All requests can be submitted at caas@triton.edu, faxed to (708) 456-0991, or brought to Room A-105.

Staff may be contacted at (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3917.

Services for All Registered Students

CAAS provides a license at no cost to all registered students for Otter software. Otter records lectures and produces a transcript of the lecture providing the student with notes to study from. Students interested in obtaining a free license may request a license by filling out the Otter forms and submitting them to CAAS at caas@triton.edu or in Room A-105. Otter licenses must be renewed each semester by submitting the Otter forms.
