Pre-Pharmacy, Associate in Science
Total Program Credits: 60
Pre-professional studies include programs in the health sciences (nutrition, dietetics, occupational therapy, nursing), pre-veterinary medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, and pre-optometry.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Pre-Professional (Pre-Pharmacy) Associate in Science degree emphasis program, the graduate will be able to:
- Apply and explain complex biological processes including genetics, metabolism, cellular and organismal biology.
- Apply and explain the principles of atomic and molecular structure to predict chemical properties and chemical reactivity, and thermodynamics.
- Demonstrate an ability to conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results, while observing responsible and ethical scientific conduct.
- Demonstrate an ability to employ modern library search tools to locate, retrieve, and evaluate scientific information.
- Demonstrate an ability to gain entry into professional schools, graduate programs, or the job market.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, especially the ability to transmit complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Employ critical thinking and efficient problem-solving skills.
