Semester Hour Course Load

Fifteen semester hours constitute the normal semester course load at the college. In some cases, it may take more than four semesters of 15 semester hours to complete the program requirements. In such situations, summer attendance or an extra semester may be necessary. A student is considered as "full-time" if the credit-hour course load is 12 hours or more.

It may be necessary for a student to carry more than the normal course load. Permission to carry a course load over 17 credit hours may be granted to individual students depending on their academic record and other pertinent factors. Such permission is only granted by an advisor or a dean.
