The Reserve Officers Certificate is designed to prepare students academically for entry-level positions as certified police officers in the State of Illinois.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Reserve Officer Training Certificate program, the graduate will be able to:
- Prepare for promotional and advancement opportunities within the law enforcement community.
- Demonstrate professional competencies to meet the needs of career opportunities and requirements for employment in the field of criminal justice system.
- Employ the knowledge gained for individual additional career opportunities in other agencies at the local, state and federal level.
- Develop skills for problem solving, critical thinking and professional writing.
