Guided Pathways
Triton College offers students holistic support through a model of Guided Pathways. Triton College students, as a commitment to equitable access to education and student success, are able to have a customized student experience through the following:
- The selection of an area of study
- A program map
- Access to an academic advisor
Areas of study are Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Business and Information Technology, Career and Technical, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Health Sciences, Human and Public Services, and Science and Engineering.
A program map is a clear and structured roadmap for degree and certificate programs. It includes specific course sequences and program learning outcomes.
An academic advisor assists students by making use of a program map. Students who are undecided will benefit from continued conversations with an advisor to determine the career path that is a good match for a student.
