Pre-Engineering, Associate in Science
Total Program Credits: 61-63
Engineers use analytical and technical tools to provide creative yet economic solutions to problems. Degreed engineers have been consistently in demand, commanding the highest starting salaries among college graduates.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Associate in Science Degree (Pre-Engineering) emphasis, the graduate will be able to:
- develop ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics;
- develop ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs;
- communicate effectively with a range of audiences;
- function effectively on a team, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives;
- develop and conduct appropriate laboratory experiment,
- analyze and interpret data gathered from laboratory experiment, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions; and
- develop ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate engineering learning strategies.
