The Security Administrator Certificate prepares students for security administrator positions. Security administrators work to defend the system as a whole and keep it secure from threats. This program also prepares students to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Security Administrator Certificate program, the graduate will be able to:
- install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions;
- develop security awareness and network policies and procedures to monitor network traffic and detect and stop unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction;
- configure security systems, analyze security requirements, and recommend improvements; and
- develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.
