The Network Management certificate is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level position in network planning, installation, security and administration. The certificate provides the option for students to prepare for CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or CompTIA Network+ certification.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Network Management Certificate, the graduate will be able to:

• describe network topologies, routers, switches and protocols in order to design a network;
• demonstrate an approach to implement wired and wireless LAN’s, Internetworks and VPN’s (Virtual Private Networks) to enable communications and access to share resources;
• analyze network traffic to troubleshoot network equipment; and
• demonstrate script development in order to maintain a network.
