Philosophy of As Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and practical measures to apply in the clinical setting, including safe handling, receiving, storage, disposal and decontamination of radioactive material. Occupational exposure, personal monitoring, limits and associated exposure units, regulations and documents governing the use of radioactive material. Principles of radiation biology and potential effects of exposure to the human body.
