REN 110 ARC Flash Prevention #
The dangers of ARC Flash injuries to the human body. Identification of risk when working on energized electrical components, secure any hazardous voltages, such as Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO). National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E manual is used to determine the nominal voltage, perform a hazard risk assessment, determine the Hazard Risk Class and use the appropriate Cal rated clothing and equipment, as well as securing the work area and perform a live-dead-live check on the electrical components. Maintenance and care of all NFPA 70E Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as preparation for work on energized electrical components that cannot be de-energized, such as Infrared Imaging.
