Examination of the leading institutions of American National Politics including Congress, Presidency, federal courts, and the bureaucracy; media, public opinion, political parties, and interest groups; historical circumstances surrounding the adoption of the US Constitution; civil liberties, civil rights, and due process provision in the US Constitution; activities of the national government in foreign and defense policy, environmental protection, management of the economy and economic regulation.
