NUR 130 Promoting Adaptation I
Role of the professional nurse and the application of Roy, Maslow and Erikson theories providing nursing care. Assessment and maintenance of indicators of adaptation of individuals across the lifespan, including the childbearing and childrearing family with a multicultural society. Safe performance of basic nursing skills, physical assessment, the nursing process, communication, cultural competency, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and nursing judgment to promote adaptation of the physiologic needs of protection and activity and rest. (One 100-level nursing course may be repeated with approval of the Nursing Admission Committee.) (Spring 2016)
