AUT 171 (150) Engine Fundamentals: Operation & Maintenance # ◊

Provides advanced training in automotive engine inspection, service, assembly, and diagnostics. Learn to use precision measurement tools; inspect and service cylinder heads, valve-train systems, and engine block assemblies; perform lubrication system testing; and complete full engine assembly to manufacturer specifications. Emphasis is placed on accurately measuring components, evaluating wear and alignment, verifying mechanical timing, and applying diagnostic procedures to identify mechanical faults. Students will document findings, analyze engine performance data, and communicate results using industry-standard service information. .
