Automotive Diesel and Transportation Technology, Associate in Applied Science
Total Program Credits: 61
The Diesel and Transportation Technology degree program is designed for learners who wish to concentrate solely on technical courses to repair today’s modern class four-through-eight vehicles. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to seek employment as a truck repair technician in a dealership or the aftermarket repair facility. Course content prepares students to take Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T1 through T8 certifications. (Fall 2022)
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Diesel and Transportation Technology, the graduate will be able to:
- demonstrate OSHA & EPA industry recognized safety practices and procedures;
- demonstrate vehicle symptoms by performing diagnostic evaluations of truck issues;
- demonstrate complex truck diagnostic procedures;
- calculate math skills related to truck technology;
- demonstrate ethical work habits through questioning and answering techniques; and
- demonstrate communication skills through verbal evaluations.
