The Associate in General Studies (AGS) degree is intended for students whose educational goals will not be adequately met by the other associate degree programs. The AGS is awarded in individualized curricula that has been agreed upon by the student and advisor.

Students who wish to discuss pursuing the AGS degree must contact the counselor for the Associate in General Studies degree program. This contact should be made when the student first enrolls for classes or upon changing his/her educational goals.

The Associate in General Studies degree is not considered to be a transferable degree. The student should contact the Counseling department to determine the transferability of part or all the Associate in General Studies degree.
